REDEEMING LOVE

Genre: Romance

Director: DJ Caruso

Starring: Abigail Cowan, Tom Lewis

Synopsis: Tragically orphaned and sold into prostitution as a child, Sarah (“Angel”) escapes the clutches of “Duke” only to be betrayed once again. She expects nothing from men but betrayal and brutality as she is hopelessly trapped in a harsh world that exploits her as the “celebrity” of a booming mining town as men line up to buy time with her. Then she meets Michael Hosea - a man of deep faith who believes that he is to marry Angel and love her unconditionally. Slowly, day by day, he defies Angel's every bitter expectation and cold rejection until her frozen heart begins to thaw. But with her unexpected softening comes overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear as she is relentlessly pursued by her past and those she has escaped. Her final healing must come from her own dormant faith, courage and a renewed belief in herself. Redeeming Love isn’t just a romantic Gold Rush story about a farmer who falls in love with a prostitute. It is timeless story of the redemptive power of unconditional love, forgiveness and second chances in an unforgiving world. Based on the best-selling book, this skillful and edgy retelling of the book of Hosea is set against the romantic backdrop of the California Gold Rush of 1850.
